Mr. Cook was raised in Wakefield, Massachusetts and graduated from Springfield College with a B.S. in American Studies & Business Management. Mr. Cook is the President of Engineered Flood Solutions of Dover, MA. Lenny" will assist Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Surveyors and homeowners in the proper design and installation of our Foundation Flood Vents. In addition to Lennys long experience representing electrical, mechanical and architectural products, he has just finished the Smart VENT factory technical training program in Glassboro. NJ. Thus, Lenny can answer your questions on FEMA/ NFIP regulations plus the new ICC (formerly NES) and BOCA code compliance as well as insurance and professional liability concerns.

Since many code officials in Massachusetts are enforcing the FEMA/ NFIP regulations and the state BOCA Building Codes, Lenny is ready to explain the differences as they relate to foundation flood vents. Three models in two sizes are available. The Smart VENT Model # 1540-510 provides flood protection and automatic ventilation : opens when its hot and closes when its cold.
The Flood VENT Model # 1540-520 provides flood protection but is insulated. Use where no ventilation is required. The Overhead Door Model # 1540-530 mounts easily into a garage door. Great for retrofit or where there is limited wall space. Sizes include 8" x 16" covering 200 Sq/Ft per unit and 16" x 16" that covers 400 Sq/Ft per unit.
