H. B. Maynard and Company, Inc. Selected as Co-op Employer of the Year

H. B. Maynard and Company, Inc. is pleased to announce its selection as the 2003 Co-op Employer of the Year at the University of Pittsburgh. Each year, the various engineering departments at the University of Pittsburgh nominate companies they feel are deserving of the award. The co-op office reviews each nomination and the company's credentials and then selects the company for the year.

(PRWEB) December 15, 2003 --H. B. Maynard and Company, Inc. is pleased to announce its selection as the 2003 Co-op Employer of the Year at the University of Pittsburgh. Each year, the various engineering departments at the University of Pittsburgh nominate companies they feel are deserving of the award. The co-op office reviews each nomination and the company's credentials and then selects the company for the year.

Co-op programs allow students to earn college credit for their co-op work rotations. Co-ops typically alternate semesters between working and attending school, beginning their sophomore year, for two to four rotations for the company.

Through its relationship with the University of Pittsburgh, H. B. Maynard and Company, Inc. provides a unique educational work experience. Co-op students are able to apply the theoretical concepts learned in the classroom in a hands-on work environment. Through the Quick START Program, Maynard provides opportunities for its co-ops to learn the tools, techniques and methodology used by Maynard consultants, and work along with the consultants and clients on actual client projects. Many of the participants of the Maynard Quick START Program have been students of the University of Pittsburgh.

Maynard was officially recognized during an award ceremony on December 5, 2003.
