New Lifestyle Magazine Hits Newsstands in February. Vodka Magazine - The First Magazine dedicated to Downtown Urban Living, Cocktails & Culture

The new lifestyle magazine titled Vodka Magazine will launch its premier issue nationwide in February 2004. Vodka covers hot topics in downtown urban 'bohemian' living, and serves as an exploration guide to downtown loft living and life.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) December 15, 2003 --Launching nationwide in February 2004, Vodka Magazine is a new bi-monthly lifestyle magazine about urban living, cocktails, and emerging cultural trends. The new magazine is designed for single adults rediscovering the urban landscape and moving into new 'live/work lofts emerging from metro centers all across America. Vodka Magazine serves as an exploration and conversational guide for the loft-living lifestyle and the new urban dwellers.

Why use 'Vodka for a magazine name? Vodka is the spirit of choice of the new urban dweller, and embodies their lifestyle and attitude. The Vodka Magazine reader is a leader who is looking for new experiences, cool finds, unusual stories, fashionable style, emerging art - and of course - the finest cocktails available. Vodka Magazine will deliver the stories and ideas people need to enjoy an enriched metropolitan social life and 'gear up to explore every aspect of urban living," says Erika Kao, Chief Editor of Vodka Magazine.

Why a new lifestyle magazine? Sean T. Haley, the VP Marketing/Publisher, saw two trends unfolding nationwide: 1) an explosion of new 'live/work lofts being carved out of classic downtown buildings in major cities, and 2) the number of new designer vodkas now on the market. Since street announcement, the Vodka Magazine Website (www.vodkamag.com) has received overwhelming response and support for the forthcoming magazine. With all the wonderful response received already, we know were onto something huge," says Haley.

Regular editorial features of Vodka Magazine will include: Loft Style - a peek into some of the coolest urban living spaces around. Russian Chicks' Vodka Review - our 'chicks' get together to sample/review some of the finest Vodka's available while sharing their thoughts and experiences on dating, love/sex, politics, films, and anything else they want to talk about (it's like reality TV on paper). Underdog - an out-of-the-ordinary personal story/interview about eclectic personalities, dysfunctional heroes, and unusual tales that turn into triumph. Metro Style - a hip look at fashion, design, gadgets, entertainment, and much more. Other regular features will include: Art Collector, Lounge People, Spirited, Down with D'town, 72-hour getaway, and more.

Vodka Magazine is an independent publication funded by private investors and its co-founders - Erika Kao, Chief Editor and Sean T. Haley, VP Marketing and Publisher. Vodka Magazine has already signed a four-year distribution agreement with top national distributor, Rider Circulation Services (RCS) in Los Angeles. RCS' excitement and support of our vision is exactly what we wanted from a distributor for Vodka Magazine," said Kao. RCS has an excellent track record of distributing unique lifestyle magazines, such as Atomica and Flaunt.

Vodka Magazine is written for adults 21 to 35 that are single with no kids. The readers hang out at clubs/bars 4+ times a week. They're fashionable and earn a high household income of over $80,000. Vodka Magazine's strategy is to hit major bookstore chains and independent newsstands, and grow at a steady pace. The 2004 year end-target is 40,000 to 50,000 per issue, and will have a cover price of $4.95 ($6.95 Canadian). Vodka Magazine's full color format is printed on high-quality paper stock of 80# Matte silk (cover) with varnish, 60# Matte silk (text), and final magazine cut-size will be 9" wide by 10 7/8" tall.
