FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
LOS ANGELES, CA (PRWEB) December 16 2003 -- On August 27th, Marc Anthony Massimei, award-winning feature filmmaker of THE SHAPE OF EVIL, was interviewed by Les Sekely of Adrenaline radio's B+ Movie Making. The interview is now available to download, in its entirety and commercial free at http://mapresents.tripod.com/news.html
Commenting on THE SHAPE OF EVIL, Les Sekely, host of B+ Movie Making said, "I've known people who refer to slasher movies and automatically talk about them as if they were horror films. These are two distinct different types of movies. Slasher films are exactly that, horror films are not slasher films. Marc paid homage to the originals, John Carpenter, Alfred Hitchcock, with intricate editing and angled shots that were really nicely done and very effective. A lot of those shots I think John would be very proud of. I was impressed and had a lot of fun watching it. One scene that comes to mind involves the merging of past and present through a dissolve, and camera angles that were very effective. I've not seen anything quite like that before. As a filmmaker, when you spend $375 on a production of this quality, that's something to brag about."
Les Sekely has been producing, writing, directing, and editing his own TV and movie projects for years. He has also played various characters in these projects, and composed the music. Les has worked for the ABC Network, Nickelodeon, and the Learning Channel on various sketch comedy shows and music video projects. He won a National ACE Award and an Emmy Award for writing/directing/co-producing, Yes, This Is Comedy!, a Mad TV-type sketch comedy show.
B+ Movie Making is a host/guest/caller driven talk show discussing every aspect of the ever-growing new wave of independent moviemaking. Thanks to technology, the B-Movie world has been reborn. And it has exploded! The time is ripe for a B-Moviemaking radio show... a show that will provide not only a verbal forum for these independent moviemakers.
About MAPresents, Inc. (http://mapresents.com)
Award-wining director/producer Marc Anthony Massimei founded MAPresents, Inc. with the intention of raising the bar of expectations for the low budget motion picture industry through an emphasis on story and high quality production value. The advent of High Definition technology and recording equipment provides the opportunity for Independent filmmakers to realize their dreams of producing high quality motion pictures with budgets previously unheard of. Despite the increase of affordable technology, production of low budget motion pictures has increased but the quality of those productions has not. MAPresents, Inc. intends to change that.
HOW?
First and foremost, STORY. TECHNOLOGY, PRODUCTION VALUE, PASSION, and INTEGRITY.
Because our films focus on content, opportunities for larger budgets are possible, even in the short term, as our screenplays will speak for itself. It also gives rise to the potential for the upcoming films to exceed the funding they seek.
ALL of our features will be shot in HD with distribution being the ultimate goal.
We maximize production value by recruiting people with integrity, passion, and the work ethic expected for a quality made production.

THERE IS NO "I" IN TEAM
"The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body." Furthermore... "If they were all one part, where would the body be? 20 As it is, there are many parts, but one body."
The preceding quote (1 Corinthians 12) also applies to filmmaking as well as faith. At MAPresents, INC., an atmosphere of mutual respect is a given. We guarantee your collaboration, talent, hard work, and integrity is valued just as much as for the grip as the lead actors
