HRMCs Jonathan Canger, PhD, to be joined by colleagues from three
leading organizations to illustrate the positive outcomes of business-driven and culturally attuned recruitment and retention

Tampa, FL - December 15, 2003 -- Human Resource Management Center
(HRMC), providers of next generation" selection, assessment and
management solutions, announced that it will chair a practitioner forum called
Front End Alignment: Selection Aligned with Company Strategies and
Culture," at the 2004 National Meeting of the Society of Industrial and
Organizational Psychology (SIOP) in Chicago, April 2 -- 4, 2004.

Today, I-O Psychologists are being asked to go beyond utility and ROI
analyses, and demonstrate how their efforts align with their firms
strategies. In the session, HRMCs Dr. Jonathan Canger, VP of Research
and Development, will lead practitioners from three prominent organizations
(Frito-Lay, Capital One and Verizon Wireless) in a discussion on how they are
making the connection between employee selection efforts and their
firms larger human capital and business strategies. Dr. Canger will be
joined by Dr. Alfred G. Davis (Verizon Wireless) to discuss an organizational
psychologists role in aligning recruiting, selection and retention to
organization strategy in a results-focused organization. Dr. David H. Oliver
of Frito-Lay, Inc will then share the challenges he faced in the design,
implementation and alignment of an IVR-based prescreening process (and the
benefits Frito-Lay realized once in place). And finally, Dr. Robert Driggers
of Capital One will show how his organization used multiple selection methods
to achieve alignment and maximize business impact

Speaking on behalf of my colleagues, we are pleased and honored to have
the opportunity to share our ideas and experiences with the distinguished
industrial/organizational psychologists attending the SIOP conference,"
said Dr. Canger. We think this is an especially timely topic,
particularly since more business leaders are recognizing the bottom-line
impact of their firms human capital decisions, and the role that I-O
Psychologists efforts can play in initiating programs and improving
processes that increase the value of that human capital."
