MCLyte, Lee Bailey, TVT Records and Lightyear Entertainment among sponsors of the Los Angeles "Uplifting Minds II" National Talent Competition

The "Uplifting Minds II" Conference will be held Sat./Sun. February 21-22, 2004 in Los Angeles at the Four-Point Sheraton at LAX, for the entertainment business seminars and the Baldwin Hill Crenshaw Plaza for the national talent competition showcase.
MCLyte, nominated for a 2004 Grammy for "Best Female Solo Rap Performance" is still riding the wave of success for her latest release "Da Underground Heat Vol. I." Lyte will act as panelists/judge at the competition Sunday, Feb. 22nd from 1 - 5 p.m.. The showcase is for ages 7 - 21 in music, song writing, dance and acting.
Lee Bailey, founder of the syndicated radio show "Radioscope" (where he host) and one of the most popular Internet websites and newsletters for African-American entertainment news, EURWEB. TVT Records celebrating the platinum success of Lil' Jon and The Eastside Boyz latest release, will showcase their new upcoming female R&B singer Teedra Davis at the "Uplifting Minds II" professional showcase (at the end of the competition). Teedra will be singing from her debut TVT Records release "Complex Simplicity."
Lightyear Entertainment known for his record, film, DVD and home video releases, will have an A&R rep. on the panel along with Boosweet Records and Therapy/Universal Records. The presidents of the following artist management companies will be on the panel as well: Double O Entertainment, Gray Starr Entertainment, Superstar Entertainment, SU Entertainment and 56 Entertainment.
