UHCC Senior Centers Christmas Party to Include Councilman Santa
The United Hindu Cultural Council Senior Center (UHCC) in Queens, New York will hold its annual Christmas Party on December 24 with New York City Councilman Joseph Addabo appearing as Santa Claus.
South Ozone Park, NY (PRWEB) December 20, 2003 --The United Hindu Cultural Council (UHCC) announced today that its annual Christmas Party, to be held on December 24th at 11 PM at the UHCC Senior Center in South Ozone Park, will include the presence of Santa Claus portrayed by New York City Councilman Joe Addabo, for the second year in a row.
Joe did such a fantastic job last year, and all the seniors loved it, so we had to have him back for another year. When we asked, Joe graciously agreed to join us for the festivities." said Chan Jamoona, executive director and founder of the UHCC.
The Christmas party will include a gift exchange by the seniors as well as singing dancing and general celebration of the Holiday season. Refreshments will also be provided. Mrs. Jamoona added that members of the community would also be invited to join in the celebration.
The United Hindu Cultural Council, founded in 1997, is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting unity among all people in our diversified populations. The UHCC is seeking to develop humanitarian and caring communities that will address the needs of all individuals, particularly in underserved areas. The UHCC Senior Center, based in South Ozone Park in the borough of Queens, New York City is funded by the New York City Department for the Aging.
