DISITRON SATELLITE DEPLOYS A SKYDSL® NETWORK

ALOHA Networks, Inc., the performance leader in development and commercialization of technologies in IP Networking Over Satellite, announces the purchase, deployment, and operation by Disitron Satellite Group (Disitron) of a SkyDSL® Network serving Western Africa. Disitron uses the New Skies Satellite for the space segment and teleport facilities, and is partnering with Koochi Communications Ltd. in Nigeria for VSAT installation and service.

Disitron located their SkyDSL Network at a teleport in Virginia to take advantage of the reliable, high-speed Internet access available in the USA. Inside the teleport, Disitron uses the SkyDSL SAMA® Receiver for the high-availability uplink (return channel) and industry-standard DVB for the downlink (forward channel).
