Sandman Records, widely-known for its parent-friendly "Dream With Me Tonight" lullaby CDs, has teamed up with Fertile Hope, a non-profit organization partnered with the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Fertile HopeÂs mission is to provide reproductive information, support and hope to cancer patients whose medical treatments present the risk of infertility.
Sandman Records donated 400 copies of its 6-time award-winning CD, "Dream With Me Tonight, Vol. 2  A FatherÂs Lullabies" to Fertile HopeÂs ÂSweet November fundraising reception in NYC. The event featured Scott Hamilton, (US Skating Champion and cancer survivor) and Evan Handler ("Sex and the City" actor and cancer survivor).
ÂFertile Hope is a vital organization with a wonderful goal, says Sandman Records President, Lanny Sherwin. ÂIt addresses the profound needs of cancer patients faced with infertility. WeÂre glad that our small contribution of "Dream With Me Tonight" CDs will help spread the word. Sandman Records has also dedicated a portion of its website (http://www.DreamWithMeTonight.com) to Fertile Hope and carries information about the organization in its monthly ÂSnoozeletter.Â
Lindsay Nohr, founder of Fertile Hope, says, ÂSandman Records generosity was appreciated both by the organization and by all of the guests, who were delighted to receive complimentary "Dream With Me Tonight" CDs. The synergies between our audiences are great, and Fertile Hope looks forward to working with Sandman Records on future ventures.Â
Fertile Hope was founded by Lindsay Nohr as the result of her potentially sterilizing cancer treatments. Unable to find much information or experts in the field, she created Fertile Hope to provide cancer patients with programs of awareness, education, financial assistance, research and support. Sandman Records has released two lullaby CDs which have garnered a combined 13 childrenÂs music awards. "Dream With Me Tonight  Lullabies For All Ages" was released 1/15/01. A portion of the proceeds from that CD benefits the Spina Bifida Association of America (http://www.sbaa.org). "Dream With Me Tonight, Vol. 2  A FatherÂs Lullabies" was released 6/15/03 and features Gene Miller, as heard on "The Lion King II". Sandman Records is based in Franklin, TN.
