San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) December 21, 2003 --Ubisoft, one of the worlds largest video game publishers, recently partnered with The Imagine Bus Project, a San Francisco based inner city art program, to distribute holiday cards to benefit the non-profit organization. Instead of spending money on expensive holiday gifts for its business partners, Ubisoft decided to donate money to the charity. The children designed cards to wish recipients a happy holiday and also notify them of the donation.
Were a company that relies on the talent of artists for our products, so it seemed only appropriate that we would support budding young artists in the inner city through a program that provides art classes to low-income children," said Ubisoft President Laurent Detoc.
The kids know the games from playing them at our Art House recreation room and thought it was a cool project," said The Imagine Bus Project CEO Geoff Benjamin, Ubisoft should be commended for finding a creative way to partner with a community organization in the true giving spirit of the holiday season."
We welcome opportunities for the children to expose their art through different mediums," said Marie Rogers, head teacher with the program. Giving them specific projects helps them learn how to focus and achieve and they just love seeing their art shared with others. It builds their self-esteem and self-worth."
About Imagine Bus Project:
The Imagine Bus Project helps to break the isolation most inner-city kids face by introducing them to the wonders of art, culture and nature in a way that gives them a taste of the future they can build for themselves. Our program keeps kids off the streets, helps build self-esteem and makes them better students - which contributes to the result of healthier families living in more creative communities.
