(PRWEB) December 21, 2003 --David Pietrusza will read from his new book "Rothstein: The Life, Times and Murder of the Criminal Genius Who Fixed the 1919 World Series." Mr. Pietrusza has edited over three dozen books. His Judge and Jury: The Life and Times of Judge Kenesaw Mountain Landis captured the 1998 CASEY Award. He was an editor of Total Baseball, the Official Encyclopedia of Major League Baseball. Pietrusza's most recent book, Ted Williams: My Life in Pictures, was written with Ted Williams. Mr. Charyn will read from his new book "Gangsters & Gold Diggers: Old New York, the Jazz Age and the Birth of Broadway."
Mr. Charyn was born in the Bronx in 1937 and is the author of more than thirty books, including "The Isaac Quartet," "Sizzling Chops & Devilish Spins" and "Metropolis: New York as Myth, Marketplace and Magical Land." He divides his time between New York and Paris.
