Redfern Services Assists Liberty Challenge To Benefit Childrens Brain Trust Fund
Childrens Brain Trust Fund and their partners raise more awareness concerning childhood brain cancer.
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) December 23, 2003 --Redfern Services is assisting The Liberty Challenge to help raise awareness, participation, and donations for their upcoming fundraising event. The first step Redfern is going take is to redesign and update the current Web site. The second phase will improve the back-end and access issues that plagued the previous site. The Liberty Challenge staff will also able to access and modify all of their information remotely, which allows them to be more efficient with their public relations, marketing, and other important race information. "The Web site will be especially helpful for the participants, production and emergency staff. This will enable them to get critical information instantly during the 2000 mile race." Stated Michael Holland of Redfern Services.
The Children's Brain Trust is an integral part of the Institute of Neuroscience's of Miami Children's Hospital, a multidisciplinary group of physicians with multiple projects for clinical and research efforts for the care of children with neurological problems. "Together during the Personal Watercraft Liberty Challenge, we will build hope for the children. We will enhance knowledge, move forward and show how to never give up; this is our mission to our community". Gilles Dandrieux of the LIberty Challenge.
Childhood brain cancer patients, who suffer from chronic side effects of treatment, weakness, and tremors, now have new medications and procedures available to them; but there is still a long way to go. In the next decades we will move closer to finding a better treatment and also have the ability to take greater control over their care. Redfern Services is proud to be apart of the Liberty Challenge and Childrens Brain Trust Fund.
The initial fund raising efforts of the Trust will be directed toward the establishment of an intraoperative MRI unit that will position Miami Children's well into the future with respect to the diagnosis and treatment of brain tumors as well as a host of other neurological disorders. If an abnormality can be imaged and is adversely affecting the child, it can most likely be surgically treated with the help of intraoperative MRI.
