Distribution of 26 million Lord of The Rings: The Return of the King bookmarks provided enormous buzz among nation's youth in the 2 weeks prior to the film's release. The film’s box office success demonstrates the effectiveness of Planet Report’s unique in-school programs. For LOTR, Planet Report distributed bookmarks and newsposters featuring LOTR to an audience of 27 million students during the 2 week run up to the film’s release. This was the third year in a row that Newline worked with Planet Report to develop a Lord of The Rings in-school program for America’s schools.

“We knew that the third movie in the Lord of the Rings trilogy would be huge. Kids, teachers, and parents have been requesting the new set of bookmarks since school got back in session last September,” said Jeff Lederman, Pres. Planet Report, Inc.
