Making Ends Meet an online financial resource for single working mothers.

(PRWEB) December 25, 2003 --As Christmas approaches, my thoughts often turn to those in need. I think about how fortunate I am, and I recognize that at this time of year poverty must seem an even greater burden to bare. While I may struggle at times (hey - no one's life is perfect), I know that there are many with far, far less than I.

So, when this group approached me about their organization, I knew I would want to pass the information on. Making-Ends-Meet was started by a group of single moms and has a goal of helping other low to moderate income moms with the basic needs of life (e.g. rent,daycare, utilities, car repairs, extra-curricular activities for their children, etc.). Currently, they are building up their funding with an expectation that the first checks will be sent out to single moms in
need in January 2004.

If you have been blessed by a reasonably good standard of living, then I hope you will consider sending them a $5.00 donation. Of course they
would accept more, but their goal is based upon this modest request, with the hopes that you will get two more friends to also donate $5.00.
Their dream is to raise $5 million to fund this project. Corporate sponsorship is available, and if you have no money to give, you should know that volunteers are also needed. You might even want to consider purchasing some of their merchandise as a gift in order to help them
raise the funds. What a unique gift that would make. The recipient could use their coffee mug , mousepad, or wear their T-shirt with the

There is also information there on how to apply for assistance if you are in need of help for small things. Assistance is granted based upon
financial need. These mini-grants are expected to be from $300.00 to $800.00.
