Danney Ball Running Strong In GOP Primary For U.S. Senate In California
First to be certified, candidate builds coalition of anti-illegal alien, off-road recreation, and social conservative groups.
(PRWEB) December 27, 2003 --With some name recognition from his run for governor of the state in 2002, Danney Ball realizes he is in an uphill battle to get the Republican nomination in California's March 2004 primary to run against Barbara Boxer next November.
Ball, of Hemet, California, has built a large email newsletter list of party activists, news writers, and those interested in stopping people who sneak into California, mostly through it's Southern border with Mexico. Ball publishes a free internet weekly newsletter called "The Illegal Alien News".
With 10 republicans on the ballot, Ball is concerned that only long-time GOP party insiders and those with lots of money to spend will be considered by the media as credible. "So many people think that if you aren't raising and spending millions of dollars you just don't have a chance", said Ball.
"I am relying on my abilities in public relations, advertising, and marketing to carry me through, not on how many people I can extract dollars from" Ball continued. "This race is wide open and if I can continue getting my views to the voters, I will get the necessary votes to win the primary and I know I am the only candidate in this race who can actually beat Barbara Boxer."
Ball, also is the first to be placing signs throughout the state, as he travels to each of California's 58 counties speaking to groups and passing out literature. He travels in his 37 ft RV which is dubbed a Mobile Campaign Office.
"In the last 18 months I have met voters in every area of California. No other candidate can say that. I will win simply because I am more visable than any of the others running. I can't allow the people of California to entrust this vital job to a politician. That's what keeps me going, said Ball.
