Union Textile Minister Shahnawaz Hussain Inaugurates Tenth Anniversary Celebrations of Pearl Academy of Fashion
Shri Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, Honble Union Minister for Textiles, Government of India inaugurated Continuum03, the 10th anniversary celebrations of Pearl Academy of Fashion at Convention Hall, Hotel Ashoka. The inaugural function saw special thematic choreographic presentation by Ashley Lobo, and many other activities. A host of dignitaries, including Textiles Secretary Mr. S B Mohapatra, Mr. Edward Newton, Chairman, IFFTI; Mrs. Deborah Landis, Oscar-nominee Hollywood Costume Designer; Mr. John Landis, Hollywood Actor, Producer and Director; and Mr. Deepak Seth were present at the inauguration.

Expressing his views on Continuum 2003, Mr. A. K. G. Nair, Executive Director, Pearl Academy of Fashion (PAF) said, Our tenth anniversary celebration is an occasion to look back at our achievements, rededicate to our values and make new commitments. The objective is to bring together our associates -- alumni -- international partners -- faculty - current students on a common platform and meaningfully engage our industry icons."
The thematic sequences of Ashley Lobo at Continuum03 inauguration included Unveiling the logo (Continuum 03 logo), Vande Mataram (Tribute to traditional heritage), Bollywood, Chicago, Fusion (Mixing of global culture), Attitude, Experimental Dance with different props), and Colour (Colours of celebration). The three-day event comprises of exhibitions, cultural events by students, seminars, alumni meet and a fashion show, spanning across diverse areas of fashion designing and retailing.
