KM2, INC. Showcases Award Winning Designs at the Prominent New York INternational Gift Fair from February 1-5, 2003

Collection Will Be Displayed in the Accent on Design Section of the New York International Gift Fair at the Jacob Javitts Center in New York

New York, NY (PRWEB) December 31, 2003 --KM2 was founded by gift industry veterans Kelvin Mow and Kathy Mak to introduce award winning gift and home accessories into the American market. The duo realized many top designers overlooked the American market, and thus they created KM2 to bring these products home. KM2 has been sourcing products for the past year and they put together a collection of five award winning brands that they exclusively represent in the United Sates. The collection will be displayed in the Accent on Design section of the New York International Gift Fair, Jacob Javitts Center, New York City, from February 1-5, 2003.

KM2 will be exhibiting Planet 2001, a furniture and home décor line created by designer Udom Udomsrianan. Udom looks to nature for forms, combines opposite materials, and creates designs that bring us closer to nature and integrates the style into your home.

Udomsrianans recent designs won the 2003 Elle International Décor Award (shared with Phillip Stark) and the 2003 Good Design Awards in Japan. The designs have been displayed in the George Pompidou in Paris, France and the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo, Japan. The line has also shown in trade fairs in Cologne, Frankfurt, Paris and Tokyo.

KM2 will also exhibit a fashion jewelry line named Xistnz. Pieces are bold and creative using juxtaposition in contemporary designs. Materials are mammoth fossil and buffalo horn. This collection has been seen in photo shoots with Gucci and Prada.

KM2 will display a complete collection of stationery and desk top items from three award winning design houses. Ars D-Sine, a new design group which uses hemp and leather in their contemporary designs. This group was selected for the design forum in Bangkoks trade show (give tradeshow name). KM2 will also present a new seasonal line for spring using suede, pebbles, and sequins. Last they have a new leather accessory line created by a designer who has also been commissioned by a large brand name store.

When Executive Director Mr. Kelvin" was asked which line he likes the most, he said Personally, I love Planet as they are pieces of art but we use everything in our office and home. If I didnt believe in it, I wouldnt represent it. But the most special part is working with the designers and getting them to create something special for our market.
