Alabama Songwriter Heads To Texas In Support of 6th Street
Adam Hood, the twenty eight year old singer songwriter from Opelika, AL, will head west to Texas in support of his soon-to-be released CD, 6th Street - due out on Austin, TX-based Square Park Entertainment January 20, 2004. The tour will begin on 1/23 in Jackson, MS with stops in Monroe LA, Austin, Dallas, Houston, Little Rock, Oxford MS, and Memphis among others. Hood will take his blend of southern-influenced roots rock into the Carolinas in late February with a stop back home in Alabama to open for Edwin McCain at The Supper Club in Auburn, AL on 2/10.

The CD is Hoods sophomore effort and first studio recording since he was discovered a few years ago playing the bars bordering Auburn University. The tour will begin on 1/23 in Jackson, MS with stops in Monroe LA, Austin, Dallas, Houston, Little Rock, Oxford MS, and Memphis among others. Hood will take his blend of southern-influenced roots rock into the Carolinas in late February with a stop back home in Alabama to open for Edwin McCain at The Supper Club in Auburn, AL on 2/10. Incidentally, Adam's CD is named for a favorite street in his hometown rather than for the one in the "Live Music Capital" of Austin, TX.
