COLORADO SPRINGS AIRPORT ADDS SERVICE, DESTINATIONS VIA GREAT PLAINS AIRLINES
Great Plains Airlines continues to grow at Colorado Springs Airport with
additional flights
Colorado Springs, Colo. (PRWEB) February 15, 2003 - Great Plains Airlines continues
to enhance its growing presence at Colorado Springs Airport (COS) by adding
service to Austin and Taos, with additional flights to Albuquerque, Nashville,
Oklahoma City and Tulsa. These news flights raise Great Plains' annual
available airline seats to 163,520 - an increase of 133 percent.
Starting Tuesday, March 18, Great Plains will introduce nonstop service from
Colorado Springs to Austin. In addition on Monday February 17, Great Plains
will begin one-stop service to Nashville and Taos and add flights to Albuquerque, Oklahoma City and Tulsa. The airline will add still more flights to these cities on Tuesday, March 11.
"It is encouraging that an airline is able to grow during these challenging
economic times," said Gary W. Green, COS Aviation Director. "New service to
Austin will be a welcomed development to the Colorado Springs business community. This connects two major high-tech centers of commerce and should enhance resources on both ends."

Colorado Springs Airport handles approximately 118 arrivals and departures
per day and is served by nine commercial airlines. The Airport is situated on
7,135-acres and operates three runways - dual parallel and one crosswind - a
nd boasts the longest runway in Colorado: 13,500 feet (2.5 miles).
