Fort Washington, PA—A new weekly support group for people suffering from phobias will meet at the Northwestern Institute of Psychiatry beginning Tuesday, March 18, 2003, at 7 pm. Led by John K. The group is also open to those with social phobia—fear of social situations. In addition to providing a forum sharing experiences and getting support, the sessions will offer specific instruction in desensitization theory and practice so that members can establish goals and treat their own phobias.
The group will meet every Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm for ninety minutes. For more information, telephone John Cook at 215-242-5430; e-mail: jkco@concentric.net.
