Intel Corp. to Sponsor Worlds Smallest Film Festival", Showcasing its Mobile Multimedia Technologies and Platforms

Industry leader will participate in panel discussion focusing on challenges and opportunities in mobile multimedia and wireless ‘infotainment

Los Angeles, CA -- Feb. 24, 2003 -- Bigdigit Media, Inc., announced today that Intel Corp. has agreed to be a sponsor of the Worlds Smallest Film Festival", scheduled to take place March 18 in New Orleans in conjunction with the CTIA Wireless 2003 conference and exposition.

Intel Corp. plans to discuss and demonstrate some of the latest developments in mobile and wireless technology at this unique technology and digital content event, including the Portable Media Player, a mobile entertainment device pioneered by Intel that incorporates the companys XScale technology and is can accommodate, video, music and audio multimedia files. Intel will also take part in a panel discussion focusing on the technology challenges in mobile multimedia, including developments such as Intels new Centrino wireless mobile computing microprocessor architecture.

The "World's Smallest Film Festival" is a first-of-its-kind event that will showcase some of the most interesting and exciting digital media produced for small-format mobile phones and communications-enabled mobile devices. The A highlight of festival will be an awards presentation that recognizes the best and the most innovative creations across several different categories. These categories include: Drama, Comedy, Music, Episodic, Instructional, Animation, and Commercial and Sports. A panel of judges will rate submissions on creativity, entertainment value, 'real world' utility and optimum use of currently-available technology.
Just prior to the awards ceremony, we BigDigit, Inc. will lead a series of discussions and presentations focusing on new trends and developments in small format digital media and mobile multimedia applications. Taking part in the discussions will be representatives from some of the top hardware, software and content companies in the industry. Many of these companies will be showing the latest in mobile technology and will be prepared to demonstrate how these new systems and services will usher in a brave new world of mobile entertainment and portable multimedia.

More than 100 digital filmmakers have been submitted as entries to the festival to date. Many of these entries can now be viewed at the festival and conference Web site and film Screening Room at http://www.bigdigit.com/splash//. Attendees at the CTIA conference and exhibition will also have an opportunity to screen and vote on entries as part of the First Annual BigDigit 'Best of Show' awards category, sponsored by BMW Films.

The Worlds Smallest Film Festival" is an ‘invitation only event for qualified executives in the technology and media industries.
