TADGI accompanies Governor Gray Davis to Washington DC to serve on a special Delegation of Homeland Security.
Technology Advocate Group, Inc. (TADGI"), a Class C" corporation headquartered in San Diego, California and incorporated in the State of Delaware in February 2002, was selected to lead TADGI on Governor Gray Davis Homeland Security Delegation to Washington, D.C. this week. TADGIs President/CEO, LeRoy Weekley, along with the CEOs of 20 other California technology companies, accompanied Governor Davis to Washington D.C. for a series of meetings with high ranking Homeland Security officials including Secretary Tom Ridge. The meetings were to discuss, among other programs, the countrys Homeland Security plans and how California Technology companies may provide assistance. Secretary Ridge made note that California was the first state to bring such a delegation to Washington D.C.
In a February 26th Press Conference, Governor Davis spoke with TADGI saying California is the home of innovation and creation for emerging technologies." Governor Davis further commented that he has brought a helping hand of talented individuals that can contribute to our nations security at the commercial, State, and Federal level. By bringing a delegation of the top small, medium and large businesses to Washington, Governor Davis and his Homeland Security Director George Vinson, wanted to impress upon the Homeland Security Officials that California businesses can make a significant contribution to combating our war on terrorism. Per Governor Ridge's spokesperson, Brian Roehrkasse, this is "the most comprehensive group of people brought in to see the Secretary to date."
Mr. Weekley commented that there was definitely a synergy between the 21 companies and the federal departments, and together we are able to meet the needs of the Department of Homeland Security, both on the State and Federal levels. As our name states, we are an advocate group, and what we do is partner up with other small start-up companies and smaller companies that may not have the necessary contacts to market a great product that theyre developing. Theres one small business out there that were teamed with right now that has been working on a secured data communication suite, which we would offer up to Homeland Security, which would actually decrease bandwidth usage for a VPN solution."
TADGI is a small, minority-owned, Veteran-owned business registered with Dunn & Bradstreet and Central Contractor Registration Database (CCR).
