CAPE MAY, NJ The Pelican Club, Cape Mays penthouse supper club, is the place to be for moon watching. Fifty feet of windows offer 360Ί views of the beach and moonlit sky and thats why each month during the five-day waxing and waning of the full moon, The Pelican Club goes a little mad.
Superstitions about the moon's affect on the human and animal behavior have existed for centuries. While scientists may sneer at the idea that the full moon affects us, romantics know that that full moon signals a night for love, and chefs know it has a powerful influence on the appetite. The Pelican Club celebrates this time of romance, moonlight, and madness with Full Moon Madness specials:
- All moon" drinks Lunar Lemonade, Moonlight Mojito, and the mysterious Blue Moon are all $2 off.
- A moonlight-inspired Full Moon Wine Flight
- The chef creates his special Crazy Fish" whole fish presentation
- The restaurants signature dessert The Chocolate Moon is $2 off.
- On the night of the full moon, a psychic will do palm and tarot card readings
- The band will play romantic moon-inspired" standards and guests can dance by the light of the moon
- When guests call to make reservations and mention they have Full Moon Madness" they are guaranteed moon-side seats. (Seating is limited).
The Full Moon Madness schedule is as follows: April 17 through 19 (short moon schedule); May 13 through 17; June 12 through 16; July 11 through 15; August 10 through 14; September 7 through 12; and October 8 through 12.
Along with stunning views, The Pelican Club offers new American cuisine, sophisticated South Beach ambiance, and a lively bar. Live music from Jazz standards to Mambo plays most nights. The Pelican Club is owned and operated by the Craig family, proprietors of the famed Washington Inn also in Cape May.

Also part of the Marquis de Lafayette facility and run by the Craig family is Savannah Key, a banquet and entertainment venue, and The Fin Bar, a pool and beachside bar and grill.
