INTERNET POP-UP ADS EVOLVE INTO A NEW RESISTANT STRAIN

New web site FlashFast.com has just released pop-up ads that are proving resistant to all the new anti pop-up software and browser components available to computer users. Behind the new venture is California based corporation Electric Empires Inc.

"We had to try - it was freely available technology that no one seems to have thought of utilizing in this way before." said company spokesperson Mr. Jeremy Blomley.

When asked to divulge this technology he said, "I can't say much at this time- we are still improving its development. I have no doubt others will imitate us very soon. All I can say for now is that we are taking advantage of a small vulnerability in the Flash Player." Flash Player is animation software installed in approx. 98% of all computers and the industry leader in the fast delivery of visual effects over the Internet. It is also the preferred format for delivering those pop-up ads we all love to hate so much.

The company decided to showcase their new resistant strain of pop-ups on its web site FlashFast.com rather than promoting the format elsewhere on the Net. "It is still very experimental," says Blomley "so we need to maintain complete control. For now our tests are proving positive - we have not ruled out achieving peak market saturation in a very short time."

One would expect cries of outrage from Internet users and user groups but so far there have been few complaints. "Perhaps it is due to our being respectful towards our web visitors." says Blomley. "Too many companies market products with a mindset that most consumers are just plain stupid. Our ads are produced and delivered in a way that is proving popular. Some first reactions are of annoyance but this soon ends once people view the ads. They actually like them and in most cases want more- in fact our visitor figures have increased over 1000% in 3 days since we unleashed the pop-ups. It is a phenomenon."

Electric Empires is mostly involved in providing educational software for children and it seems an unusual venture for a company of this type. But Mr. Blomley explains "We have some very talented people from all over the world - including Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain as well as here in the United States. It was just a matter of utilizing these talents in a confronting way. Initially the staff were all opposed to pop-ups so it was a challenging task to get them involved, but everyone was happy with the final result."
This may be good news for Electric Empires but is it good news for web users and those that have spent millions of dollars developing anti-pop-up software? The only way is for you to decide at www.FlashFast.com
