Agfa HealthCare has announced that with immediate effect its Womens Care solutions portfolio will be called Embrace. The renaming is the first step in Agfas strategy to become the worlds pre-eminent Womens Care solutions provider by offering every elements of its customers imaging needs.

Agfa is unique in the industry in being able to use its superiority in film and screen systems, CR expertise gained in GenRad, and the opportunities offered by the recent DR distribution and joint technology development agreement with Hologic Inc., to provide complete and comprehensive end-to-end solutions from acquisition to output.

Through Embrace Agfa is able to demonstrate that its mammography technology has developed into a complete set of solutions that care for and protect the patient. It is inclusive, comprehensive and offers a broader answer to mammography needs, wherever customers are in their transition from film to digital imaging. Whilst Agfa remains strongly committed to developing and supporting the highest quality film/screen systems, it also has a responsibility to anticipate the needs of its customers and to develop the solutions that will enable them to move forward seamlessly in the future.
