GOOD NEWS FOR THE MUSIC INDUSTRY
Secure, fast digital file delivery system passes test, launch ipo in Toroto.
In a challenging economy Canadian secure digital file management leader, Musicrypt Inc. successfully closed its Initial Public Offering February 28, 2003, and commenced trading March 5 under the symbol MCT on the TSX Venture Exchange(TSX-V).
Musicrypt, Inc., has successfully completed streaming and downloading trials of its DMDS (Digital Media Distribution System) between EMI Music Canada (EMI) and Standard Broadcasting's Toronto FM radio station, Mix 99.9. The testing included internal on-line streaming between EMI/VIRGIN Head office and branches in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Montreal and Halifax.
The Digital Media Distribution System (DMDS) is a secure web based digital file transfer system that lets content owners deliver broadcast quality files and related promotion materials directly to their destination of choice: securely and at greatly reduced costs.
The first of its kind, DMDS' most significant feature is its unsurpassed security. Enabled by a patented, revolutionary biometric password system, the DMDS engine tracks file delivery to specified individuals by accurately measuring keystroke dynamics and analyzing individual typing rhythms.
