Haunt Helpers, Movie Makeup Mavens and Party People Head to Vegas for Free Education Program and Trade Show
TransWorld Las Vegas Halloween and Party Show, April 27-29th, 2003 at Tropicana Hotel and Casino Conference Center. Free Trade Show and Buyer Education Program features industry professionals in speech presentations and demonstrations.
Chicago, IL: Las Vegas, the adult "theme park" and gambling mecca for millions of tourists, is once again going to be home for the TransWorld Las Vegas Halloween and Party Show. The show is being held at the Tropicana Resort and Casino Conference Center April 27-29, 2003.
Featured in the lineup of presenters as part of their free education program for party and costume retailers, planners and haunted attraction owners, will be award-winning Hollywood makeup artists, costume designers, authors and publishers of haunted attraction trade magazine, among others. The seminars and demos will be held on the show floor from 10:00 A.M to 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 27 and Monday, April 28.
Bobbie Weiner, known throughout the Halloween and movie industries as Bloody Mary, and who was credited with creating the deathly blue bodies in the icy Atlantic in "Titanic," and Michael Burnett, award-winning "Star Trek" and Disney makeup artist, will both be offering workshops in crafting creature features in their makeup demos.
Leonard Pickel, publisher of "Haunted Attraction Magazine," will be offering a crash course to attendees wishing to start their own house of horrors.
Robert and Tina Berman, who started their costume design business, Rasta Imposta, with a few funny hats and now are owners of one of the largest costume manufacturing companies in the country, will be sharing their insights into the business and leading a forum for retailers to exchange ideas on growing their businesses.
Phyllis Cambria and Patty Sachs, event planners, speakers and authors of "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Throwing a Great Party" (Alpha Books/Macmillan), producers of the buyer education program will also be making presentations designed for people in the party, wedding and Halloween industries.
These and other top industry pros will be conducting a variety of programs on marketing, public relations, computers, customer service, balloon arts and more.
The programs and trade show are free and are open to professionals involved in any area of the party, wedding, festival or Halloween industries.
