Private Technology University Innovates Market with Online Game Design Degree

New college degrees are springing up to meet the demands of the electronic entertainment industry. Digital media production and video games are examples. College students may now obtain video game related college degrees on campus or via the Internet.

Tempe, AZ (PRWEB) March 25, 2003 - With the video game industry growing at an incredible rate, finding trained game developers has become a big obstacle for game studios. To respond to this need by companies and individuals in this hot field, The University of Advancing Technology (UAT) is launching one of the first 100% on-line Game Design degree programs, through its online degree division, UAT-Online.

Few institutions offer accredited degrees in the growing field of game design, making it difficult to break into this industry. Its even more difficult for students who do not live near a school with a recognized game program. UAT has overcome those obstacles by offering an Associate of Art degree in Game Design, where students work closely with instructors with in-depth industry experience in game design. UAT has one of the most highly regarded academic programs in game design and game programming in the country. Electronic Gaming Monthly recognized UAT as one of the "Top five game-degree programs in the world." They said "Enroll at UATs Tempe, Arizona campus and youll get an outstanding education."

Students from both UAT-Online and residential, campus-based Game Design programs graduate with skills in 3D modeling and animation, game documentation, Maya, 3D Studio Max, game balance, interactive story telling, interface development and a lot more. Student enrollment is already booming for this innovative degree program, and promises to to be one of the UAT's most popular online degrees.

The University of Advancing Technology is an ACICS accredited private university located in Tempe, Arizona. Designed to bring faculty, students and industry leaders together in a unique environment, the University continues to serve as a leader in education and the latest technologies. The school offers Associate, Bachelor and Master degrees in Multimedia, Software Engineering and Technology Commerce, as well as professional development training and computer certification.
