Swapjobs.com 2.0 is formally released!
New Priority Rating System now offered!
April 1, 2003- Effective today, Swapjobs.com is adding features you'd expect from a maturing job board company.
These features include an advanced search engine, greater web coverage, the ability to upgrade your free job listing in the search results, and, for job seekers, the ability to click and send resumes to thousands of employers with identity protection.
"This is an evolutionary change, not a revolutionary change," said Michael A Patrino II, President of Swapjobs.com; indeed, some of the changes announced today for "Swapjobs.com 2.0" have been beta tested by Swapjobs.com over the past few months. Now the beta mark is being removed from these features and the company is promising improved relevance and a larger database.
Swapjobs.com first opened to the public in October, 1999. The company is dedicated to it's mission of bringing job seekers and employers together in a very unique way.
So what does this latest version of Swapjobs.com offer the jobseeker? First, the release makes search options available via a new advanced search engine. Options include the ability to limit to keywords or job descriptions in the search box. Searches can also be restricted to a specific Industry Category or by Location including State and City. Limiting by Country is also possible. Swapjobs.com has added Canada and can be accessed from the Swapjobs.com homepage or within the "Menu Of Services" for registered users and on the job search page. India and UK sites to be launched in May 2003.
Secondly Swapjobs.com will now offer a Priority Rating System. Listing companies will now have the option to upgrade their job listing(s) to appear first in the job search results by Category/location. All free job postings will appear after all priority (starred) postings in the search results. Each star costs $10. Any job posting upgrades of 5 Stars or higher will allow free resume access for 30 days to employers and recruiters.
Third, the company reports that its job database and resume database is growing on a daily average of 26.92%, double the reported size since January 2003. Swapjobs.com's proprietary software now features "Error Handlers" to check all queries and report the problem to customer service allowing
administration of the website to be corrected within minutes.
Finally, Swapjobs.com 2.0 has improved another aspect of its website. Job seekers can manage his/her resume online with complete privacy. Individual resumes can be marked confidential by the job seeker allowing them to choose who he/she would like to see personal information. This also allows the job seeker to blast their resume to hundreds of recruiters and headhunters in a complete and confidential manner using the new tool "SwapBlast".
The company feels you will notice significant improvement in Swapjobs.com and has been preparing improvements for months to reach today's launch of "Swapjobs.com Version 2.0". If you haven't used Swapjobs.com in a while, it might be time to reintroduce yourself to this useful and unique job board.
