Top Grossing PBS Fundraiser JAMES LAST releases A World of Music", his 2nd PBS Special on Eagle Records

This international phenomenon is the most successful bandleader in the world. His award-winning music is popular in over 150 countries and he has sold over 70 million CDs.

(NYC) From the world renowned arranger/composer/bandleader, who has done everything from writing Elvis Presleys Fool" to arranging Abbas Dancing Queen" and Mama Mia," Eagle Records is proud to present James Last in his second PBS special. A World Of Music" will be available on a Special 2 CD Set, VHS and DVD which will include a behind the scenes documentary.

Last has enchanted his fans with his music for over thirty years, yet he has achieved cult status among the 20-35 year old demographic. He is best known for his unique arrangements featuring a 26-piece band with strings, brass and catchy beats. James Last has also been a musical influence for some of the hottest sounds of today, including hip-hop and techno. Last has also worked with other musical stars including Celine Dion, and has been sampled on Sean "P. Diddy" Combs' top selling album The Saga Continues.
Lasts previous PBS special, Gentleman of Music sold over 40,000 units in combined VHS and CDs in the U.S. for PBS pledge drives alone. In turn, James Last has become one of the top fundraisers for public television. Few music specials can boast such enormous success with PBS audiences.

Produced in front of a live sold out audience in Zwickau, Germany in May of 2002, A World of Music is the first English language show for James Last on PBS. He and his orchestra deliver an unforgettable, live performance, featuring some of the greatest hits of all time. Much like his audience Last is incredibly enthusiastic on stage, clearly displaying his passion for his music as he delivers a special show to an adoring crowd dancing in the aisles.
