Care Bears Comeback Heralds Year of 80's Retro

2003 sees the return of comic book favourites and retro classic toys including Care Bears, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Hulk with initial sales of Care Bears exceeding expectations backed by nationwide retailer tour and Hulk Hands winning Australian Toy of The Year.

CARE BEARS COMEBACK HERALDS YEAR OF 80s RETRO

Rumours are already abounding in the toy industry over toys destined for top slot in 2003 Christmas charts with cult classics from the 80s making a huge comeback.

Care Bears will be cuddling their way into the hearts of a new generation of children and collectors from January 2003 following their phenomenal success in the U.S over Christmas 2002. Nearly 20 years ago UK sales alone of Care Bears exceeded 11 million in its launch year and inspired more than 45 books, TV series and no less than three hit movies!

Remember Leonardo, Michaelangelo, Donatello and Raphael the green pizza-eating Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? Theyre back on the streets for Autumn 2003, hot on the muscle-bound heels of the Incredible Hulk who is destined for movie stardom in July 2003 with the much talked-about Hulk Hands having just won the celebrated Australian Toy of The Year and Boys Toy of the Year 2003.

Following the hit Spiderman movie and sell-out toy line over Christmas 2002, parents and children alike will be bombarded with characters from the past two decades during 2003 so watch out for familiar faces topping the toy charts this year!
