BidPuppy.com Launches Improved Test Site, Rewards Beta Testers $50

BidPuppy.com has launched their improved test site, and is offering a reward of $50 in credit to beta testers who join the group. They have also announced their new low fee structure, which allows any item to be listed for 10¢, regardless of its value or category.

New York City based BidPuppy.com, an online auction community has relaunched its test site today, following a complete overhaul of its auction software platform. Richard Peets, Lead Analyst & Director of Systems commented "we are utilizing a scalable, modular solution in order to create a system that is robust and very user-friendly".

BidPuppy.com has also announced a new low fee structure, which will allow members to list any item for only 10¢, regardless of value or category. After an item is sold, members will incur a low flat 2% commission fee on the closing price.

"This will help Bid Puppy members list their items without incurring high fees. We don't feel that high listing fees are fair at all. Sellers should only be charged a fee after an item sells".

Bid Puppy has pledged to donate 5% of proceeds to various charities on a permanent basis. Bid Puppy members will be able to submit their favorite charity for inclusion into the program. Members will also be able to choose which charity part of their fees are donated towards.

A special 10% discount on fees will be given to all US city employees & members of the US Military, including reservists and retired members. "This is our way of giving something back to the people who protect and serve our citizens and defend our freedom".

Visitors may be surprised to see a very basic site when they arrive. The reason for this is to allow members a chance to take an active role in the design and development of the community.

CEO & Founder of BidPuppy.com Michael N. Candarini said "We are basically starting from scratch so our members can take an active part in deciding on and designing the features of the website and community to which they belong".

"We're not just an online "auction site," stated Mr. Candarini, "rather, we are a community that brings together individuals and businesses from all over the world, so they can meet and offer their products, services and input".

It is also a fun place for everyone, even children. Visitors will be able to join groups and talk about anything from pets to politics. Live chatrooms will be available for members to communicate with friends, family and other members. To further add to the fun factor, members can store and share family picture albums online, play online games, check local weather & news, download free software and listen to music.

Mr. Candarini, an avid pet lover, has agreed to include a feature which allows visitors to search for and adopt homeless pets through Petfinder.org. Bid Puppy will also offer all members the option of purchasing monthly health benefits, in addition to several types of insurance, including health insurance even for members' pets.

"Many people are now running successful home-based businesses, but cannot afford health insurance. We have partnered with several firms who will offer our members discounted monthly benefits packages for individuals and their families".

Sellers will be able to list their items for sale in many different formats, including traditional auction style, fixed price, reverse auctions and classifieds, including wanted ads, which will further assist in bringing sellers and buyers together.

Bid Puppy plans to offer members integrated stores for sellers who wish to expand their products and services. Stores will only cost $4.99 per month, regardless of volume.

Bid Puppy will also be using a hybrid pricing structure, which offers members the option of per-item based fees, or money saving monthly packages. There will be a package to fit every size and type of seller. Monthly packages will receive discount pricing, and come with a number of free listing enhancements such as bold, featured, gallery, etc. A new feature is currently under development, which allows sellers to upload a video clip of their products to further enhance their listings.

Listing fees will be 10¢ for all items, including large ticket items such as autos, boats, aircraft and real estate. Final value fees will always remain at a low flat 2% so members can better realize a profit from their sales. Members will also have the option of placing their items in the classifieds section for only 10¢ extra.

BidPuppy.com has announced the relaunch in order to inform the online community about their current promotion. Members who signup for the testing and development phase will be rewarded with a $50 credit in their Bid Puppy account, which can be used to list items when the grand launch takes place.

This credit can be used to cover any listing fees and enhancements. Sellers will not be charged any fees whatsoever in regards to the items listed using the credit.

"With the large auction sites raising their fees and the sometimes non-existent customer service, online sellers are expressing a strong desire for alternative venues".

US consumer confidence hasn't been this low in almost a decade, but auction sites are thriving, as they allow individuals and businesses a 24 hour venue and worldwide exposure, without the high costs usually associated with brick and mortar operations. Millions of Americans are now realizing the benefits of conducting their business and other activities online, and there are millions more who don't even own a computer yet. Online shopping and auctions have grown at rates close to 100%, even with the economy, and the rise of fraud cases reported.

"Although it's a lot easier to open an online business as opposed to a physical store, individuals and businesses alike must remember that if they don't provide their customers with quality products and top notch customer service, people will eventually stray elsewhere, and in a place as large as the Internet, "elsewhere" can mean thousands of other sources".
