Cactus Starts It's Own Web Site
A cactus from Nevada has set up his own Web Log to inform the world of the plight of the wild cactus.
"I set up this Blog to make people aware of the plight of the wild cacti.", says THE CACTUS, "We are ever being cut down, stolen for rich people's gardens, shot at, and vandalized. Cacti can live longer than some trees -- there's plenty of history there."
"I have gathered some artist friends from the cartooning world to help me in my quest. "Hagar The Horrible" creator, Chris Browne and "Zippy The Pinhead" creator Bill Griffith have both donated art so far. As the next few weeks come around, you'll see more art from various popular cartoonists and there will hopefully be an eclectic range of celebrity interviews as well."
"This Blog (http://www.thecactus.org) will be my daily diary and you will be there as it grows -- through the triumphs, the letdowns, and both the cool and embarrassing moments -- you will read all (I hope)."
THE CACTUS is available for email interviews only at: thecactus@thecactus.org
