Intelsat Opens New Office to Support Customers in the Middle East and North Africa

Washington, D.C., 18 April 2003 - As part of a continuing commitment to facilitate communications with customers worldwide, Intelsat has opened an additional field office located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The expansion of offices to this region means that Intelsat now successfully operates 13 customer service centers worldwide.

Intelsat UAE, as the office in Dubai is known, serves customers in North Africa in addition to those residing in the Gulf region, including Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, and the UAE. Samir El Battah, Regional Director, Middle East & North Africa, heads the local office operations in Dubai and will respond directly to customer requests and inquiries for all Intelsat services. The office opening is expected to strengthen Intelsats presence in the region by making services more easily and directly accessible to customers there.
