Occidental Photographer Named Photographer of the Year
The Professional Photographers of the Redwood Empire, representing professional photographers from Sonoma, Marin, Napa, Lake, and Mendocino counties, has named Occidental professional photographer and artist, John G. Blair,
"Photographer of the Year" and "Wedding Photographer of the Year".

Occidental Photographer Named Photographer of the Year
The Professional Photographers of the Redwood Empire (PPRE) named Occidental professional photographer and artist, John G. Blair, as their
"Photographer of the Year". PPRE, based in Santa Rosa, represents professional photographers from Sonoma, Marin, Napa, Lake, and Mendocino counties. Blair also received the prestigious "Wedding Photographer of the Year" award and awards for the "Print of the Year" and several other categories at PPRE's annual banquet.
As well as being an active member of the Occidental Chamber of Commerce and First Vice President of the Professional Photographers of California, you may recognize his name on the Occidental Community
column for the Russian River Monthly newspaper. He is a member of the Professional Photographers of America and he speaks to associations of photographers around California, as well as assisting other professional photographers with their move into digital photography. A professional photographer for 35 years, Blair's photographs are on display throughout the West Sonoma County area. He is especially known for his black and white portraits and specialized work with digital photography. Besides weddings and portraits, he enjoys photographing animals. Blair
currently creates from his studio location above Occidental and offers a unique backdrop of beautiful redwoods overlooking the Russian River
Valley to his clients.
