MAN SETS OUT TO BE 'MOST INTERVIEWED MAN IN THE WORLD'
MIAMI, FLORDIA - He's got nothing interesting to say, isn't a celebrity or even a wanna be politician. But comedy writer, John Rodriquez, has set out to become The Most Man in the World.
MIAMI, FLORDIA - He's got nothing interesting to say, isn't a celebrity or even a wanna be politician. But comedy writer, Rodriguez, has set out to become The Most Interviewed Man in the World.
"The media is filled with inane banter and meaningless dialogue," said Rodriguez. "Since I'm about as engaging as an amoeba, I figure I've got what it takes to fill the airwaves. I've got nothing to say and I'm going to say it repeatedly; in every medium."
When asked how many interviews it would take to give him the title of 'Most Interviewed Human Being in the World,' Rodriguez ebulliently responded, "249,653."
Although Rodriguez only speaks English, he wants his interviews to transcend cultural and international boundaries. "Banality is universal. I'm hoping some of my interviews will be translated into Swahili, Cantonese and ancient cuneiform. It's too much to hope for but I'm an optimist."
As befits a global record aspirant, Rodriguez was asked what he'd do to make the world a better place in which to live. "I'd impose a 30-day press moratorium during which there would be no local television news reports by anchors named, Bubbles, and no radio broadcasts of morning shows that begin with the words, 'Zoo, team, or Scoots and Chrissy. I'd also place Larry King in a soundproof room for the duration...just to make sure."
