Bob Bahner Photography Snaps 1000 Pet Portraits for Oregon Humane Society

Bob Bahner Photography has donated services to the Oregon Humane Society, providing them with over 1000 professional portraits of shelter animals. The photographs are being used in marketing materials and advertisements and are displayed on signage in front of the building and throughout the facility at 1067 NE Columbia Blvd. in Portland, Oreogn.

PORTLAND, Ore., April 23, 2003 /PR Web/ -– Bob Bahner Photography has donated services to the Oregon Humane Society (OHS), providing them with over 1000 professional portraits of the shelter animals. The photographs are being used in OHS marketing materials and advertisements and are displayed on signage in front of the building and throughout the facility at 1067 NE Columbia Blvd.

"These images provide the shelter with a wonderful library of professionally-shot, rights-owned photography," noted Barbara Baugnon, Marketing and Public Relations Director at the Oregon Humane Society.

"When people can see the unique personalities of an animal in a photo, it is invaluable for promoting adoption and shelter services," Barbara added. The photo sessions, which took place over three weeks, included portraits of cats, dogs, and other animals at the shelter.

"Bob was able to coax the most warm and compelling expressions from the animals. Not everyone has the combination of skill and patience that it takes to do animal portraiture, but Bob has it. He is our hero!" Barbara added.

The images were shot in color on white backgrounds. Several photos are featured on giant billboards outside the facility while others are used in directional signage inside the facility. The photos will appear on the side of a bus in an upcoming OHS educational campaign.
