Meredith Hastings, a Mississippi native, unveiled a new line of sophisticated dresses and matching coats for Fall, 2003 at the Womens and Childrens Apparel and Accessories Market in Dallas in March. The dress line is the first to come from Meredith Hastings and represents a feminine style that will always be beautiful. My pieces are designed to be worn by women of any age for many years. These are ensembles that you could be photographed in and not question your fashion sense thirty years later." The simple designs are multi-functional and timeless, perfect for any occasion. The dresses are available in a variety of necklines, each designed to accentuate a different aspect of the feminine form. They are available in 9 colors and 4 sleeve lengths. The fabric is a microfiber stretch crepe, which can be worn year-round and is virtually wrinkle-free. The line also includes matching coats, which are made from a beautiful wool cashmere blend to provide luxurious warmth, and is available in 7 different colors. The coats are designed to fall 1.5 inches below the hemline of the dresses. This exciting new line is reminiscent of the classic styles worn by Audrey Hepburn and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis.

The designer, Meredith Hastings, grew up in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. After studying at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, she graduated from The American University of Paris and now resides in Atlanta. The dress line can be seen at www.meredithhastings.com.
