Building a Better Spouse Trap

LDS online dating sites battle for market share. In the past, such sites have offered approximately the same advantages, but that has changed with the introduction of LDS Singles Network.com

"LDS Singles Network is not yet the biggest LDS singles site on the internet," says co-creator Shaun Roundy (shaunroundy.com), "but it will be."

Shaun's confidence is based on the old saying 'Build a better mouse trap and the world will beat a path to your door.' "I know that's not always true," he admits, recognizing that marketing has more to do with consumer choices than quality these days, "but I also know that singles are looking for something better than what's already out there."

That longing for something better, in fact, was the initial motivation for creating LDSSN.com. "Profiles on other sites were too ambiguous," Shaun says. "I could read through dozens and still not be sure if I was interested in any enough to message anyone."

The first LDSSN advantage created was Interest & Skill Searching. This unique feature allowed users to specify up to 25 interests and skills on their free profile which other users could then search for. The list of interests to choose from includes such items as rock climbing, watching videos, kissing, discussing politics, mocking opera and over a hundred more.

Next came Compatibility Match. Shaun's brother Antone had begun designing this concept years earlier while programming for Claris in Santa Clara, CA. The user ranks both his own values on over 30 key values on a scale from one to ten and the range he hopes to find in a match. Shaun marked himself an 8 on the "open" scale, and indicated that he's searching for a woman between 6 and 9.

Little by little, the extra features stacked up "and we're not finished yet," Antone asserts. Thousands of LDS singles have already discovered LDS Singles Network, and the numbers grow daily. "We're eager for the word to continue to spread," Shaun says. "Once singles have used our tools that tell so much more about a person, it's hard to go back to more bland data on other sites."

LDS Singles Network already ranks in first through fourth place on most related search engine searches. Because profiles are free to sign up for, and even sending messages is free, the numbers will certainly grow until the LDS singles world has beaten a path to their virtual door.
