MUC CONSULTING GROUP IS LATEST ADDITION TO RUSSELL BEDFORD'S PACIFIC RIM NETWORK

PT. Multi Utama International (MUC Consulting Group) - an integrated multi-discipline, Jakarta-based group of professional services firms - has joined the Russell Bedford International network.

Russell Bedford International, the London-based worldwide accountancy group, has announced the further expansion of its Pacific Rim network by the addition of a member firm in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The new member firm is PT. Multi Utama International (MUC Consulting Group) - an integrated multi-discipline, Jakarta-based group of firms providing professional services ranging from accounting and auditing, through tax and management advisory services, to legal and human resources consulting.

The group comprises two main firms, KAP Syarief Basir dan Rekan and PT Multi Utama Consultindo. Both firms were established in 1994 by principals who had previously held positions in government agencies. The firms have grown quickly and can now claim highly trained and experienced professional teams.

KAP Syarief Basir dan Rekan is a registered public accounting partnership and is a member of the Indonesian Institute of Accountants. It offers broad-based, personalised auditing, accounting and advisory services. The firm is registered as an audit/consulting practice with the Indonesian Central Bank, the Capital Market Supervisory Agency, and the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency.

PT. Multi Utama Consultindo is a tax and management consulting company with a mix of strategic expertise, analytical skills and practical experience. It offers its services to all forms of businesses - sole proprietorships, partnerships, family-owned businesses, corporations and cooperatives. It is committed to providing its clients with a first class service through comprehensive information on rapidly-changing tax regulations and practices combined with creative ideas and innovative solutions. The Group's three principals and founders are: Syarief Basir, a registered public accountant (KAP) who was formerly a senior auditor in the Indonesian Finance and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP); Muhammad Razikun, a registered accountant and tax specialist with long experience as a government tax auditor with the Indonesian Ministry of Finance; and Afdal Zikri Mawardi, a registered accountant and licensed tax consultant who was also a tax auditor with the Indonesian Ministry of Finance.

In the last year, the Russell Bedford network's Pacific Rim offices have been joined by new firms in Singapore, Seoul, Lima (Peru), Quito and Guayaquil (Ecuador) and Vancouver. A new member will join shortly in San Francisco. And the network is currently seeking to take on new firms in Taipei, Manila, Seattle, Auckland and Santiago (Chile).
