SACRAMENTO, CALIF (PRWEB) May 8, 2003 - Put on your sneakers and join Petkus Brothers in the name of children and charity for a little exercise, some good will and a lot of magnificent spas at the 5th annual Shrine Run and Walk. The event, an 8km (5-mile) run or 2-mile fitness walk, will take place on Saturday, June 21, 2003 and will start either at Raley field (run) or Shriners Hospital (walk). The finish line for both events will be at Shriners Hospital where booths and festivities will also be set-up. Proceeds are to benefit the Ben Ali Temple of Sacramento to help Shriners Kids. Free transportation to Raley Field from Shriners Hospital will be provided from 6:15 – 7:30 a.m.

Petkus Brothers, a proud sponsor of the event, will have a soothing, bubbling treat awaiting the tired and sore at the finish line. Runners will be able to indulge in a Petkus Brothers water massage when they slip into the steaming spa. Burning feet, strained calves and achy backs are sure to fade away as the pulsating water gently rubs out the days tension.

"We are always willing to help out a great cause and this turned out to be an opportunity that we just could not pass up. Shriners Hospitals do such great work for sick children and their frightened families at no charge. They truly provide them with the gift of life and we are pleased to help out in any way we can," said Kevin Petkus, president of Petkus Brothers.

This is not the first time that Petkus Brothers has lent a hand to charity and children in need. In March 2002 they teamed up with the Make-A-Wish foundation and donated a Marquis spa, granting the wish of a nine-year old boy suffering from Duchennes Muscular Dystrophy. In December 2002 they again gave back to the community when they agreed to be a drop off point for the Coats for Kids Program, in which needy children are given warm coats to wear during the cold winter.

To see or try out one of Petkus Brothers wondrous spas in person, come visit one of the two showrooms located in Rancho Cordova or Rocklin.
