KITTY HAWK AIR CARGO LAUNCHES INTERNATIONAL
AIR SERVICE FROM BUFFALO NIAGARA AIRPORT
Kitty Hawk, Inc. announced it is launching new international scheduled air cargo service from Buffalo Niagara International Airport, in upstate New York.
DFW AIRPORT, TEXAS (May 15, 2003) – Kitty Hawk, Inc. announced it is launching new international scheduled air cargo service from Buffalo Niagara International Airport, in upstate New York.
Kitty Hawk is delighted to be partnering with the NFTA and able to serve the residents of Western New York, Buffalo, Niagara Falls and Canada using our unique offering of mission critical, overnight, two-day and three-day air freight products, said Robert Zoller, CEO of Kitty Hawk. The Niagara Falls operations will service Northwest New York State including Buffalo, Syracuse, Rochester, Erie, Pennsylvania as well as New Yorks JFK International Airport and international service from Torontos Pearson International Airport in Canada.
The new Buffalo Niagara operation will allow us to clear international freight at the border, and will allow us to move customers mission critical products and goods overnight to any of our 50 destinations. In addition, we also will be able to expedite U.S. Customs clearance of international freight more effectively and efficiently," said Michael Coe, Kitty Hawk Regional Operations Manager.
The airline will land and depart two flights per day, 10 per week, Tuesday through Saturday. The incoming flights will land at 1 a.m. and 6:45 a.m. and, in keeping with Kitty Hawks tight turnaround time schedule, flights will depart at 1:45 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Forward Air will handle warehouse operations in Buffalo.
