LATKA INTRODUCES DE-LIGHTFUL NEW FINE ART LABEL
Hand painted portrait to be featured on product packaging and more
New York, NY -- Latkas De-licious Doggie Treats, a new brand of all natural home-baked dog treats, introduces a unique new packaging label featuring a hand-painted portrait of the brands Polish Lowland Sheepdog mascot Latka".
Capturing the brands whimsical, homespun qualities, the colorful painting depicts Latka wearing a chefs hat and jacket, and holding a baking spatula. Standing in front of a kitchen table, Latka is seen proudly presenting his de-licious dog treats.
The playful new fine art label will now appear on all Latkas De-licious Doggie Treats bags and boxes. Though the painted portrait replaces Latkas photograph on front labels, his photo and story will continue to appear on back labels.
Future use for the playful new portrait may also include branded materials and merchandise for promotional, gift and charitable purposes.
Salida, Colorado-based contemporary fine artist Paulette Brodeur was commissioned to create the portrait. Brodeur, who has painted many
animal subjects, paints with the freedom of a child. Her unique technique of layering transparent ink, gouche, pastel and air brush create a depth and dimension all their own. Oscillating between the "Abstract," "Impressionistic," "Whimsical," and "Pure Expressionism," a colorful and cheerful spirit shines through.

About the Artist: Paulette Brodeur
www.brodeurart.com
Paulette Brodeur has spent the past twenty-five years painting and selling her art internationally.
Her paintings show a richness and complexity that is achieved through a process of purification, where colors are mingled in varying degrees. The colors are formed and transformed until the essence is achieved. The themes of music, dance, art, poetry, religion, culture and nature are full of humor and expression. The colors are living. And the desire to reveal something hidden is always there.
Brodeurs training is a personal solution of academic apprenticeship and self-teaching. Brodeur does not follow in anyones footsteps. Influences from other artists of the past have already been absorbed by her personality and style.
Ms. Brodeur spent her early years growing up in Europe. At the age of eight, her parents moved to the United States. At the age of ten, she won first place at the State Fair of Texas for her painting The Circus." During her early twenties, Brodeur returned to Paris where she lived with an art historian and fashion editor for the Paris newspaper. She was taken to art museums and design houses. She even met Coco Chanel and Yves St. Laurent.
Brodeur now lives in Colorado with her husband and chilren.
