Special Memorial Day Service to Honor
Veterans and Active Military Service Personnel
On May 25th @ 10am At Cornerstone Church In Nashville Tennessee
The 101st Airborne Division, 230 th Battalion division and the 118th security forces squadron join together to honor activity military and veterans on this special day
Pastor Maury Davis of Cornerstone Church announced today a special Memorial Day Service set for Sunday, May 25th, 2002, at 10:00 A.M. This service will honor all Veterans and Active Military Service Personnel.
The 101st Army Airborne Division will be present in dress uniform to post the colors and usher veterans to their reserved seats. The 101st will also display a special Fallen Comrade Ceremony for soldiers lost in war. Other special guests will include the 230th Engineer Battalion and the 118th Security Forces Squadron, who will perform Operation Patriotism.* Visitors will see a life-size tomb of the unknown soldier and a condensed replica of the Vietnam Wall. Each branch of the Armed Forces will be recognized and honored through special patriotic music.
A dramatic presentation around the Vietnam Wall and Tomb of the Unknown Soldier will reinforce the commitment Cornerstone places on this patriotic ceremony. Static equipment displays will be made available by the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment, children will be encouraged to take photos. Color Guard support will be provided by the Recruiting and retention unit of the Tennessee Army National Guard.

- Operation Patriotism is a program designed to support and promote a nationwide policy of Americanism and an endeavor to motivate a spirit of love and appreciation for God and country. This endeavor is accomplished through flag ceremonies, posting and/or retiring of the Colors, rendition of the National Anthem and/or Pledge of Allegiance.
