New Web-based WMS Interface Released by QSSI

QSSI announces a new version of the ePowerHouse Internet-enabled warehouse management system interface. ePowerHouse provides secure access to warehouse data stored in a PowerHouse/WMS system via the Internet.

Piscataway, NJ (PRWEB) May 16, 2003 -wms.com">www.qssi-wms.com), a technology leader in providing Distribution, Fulfillment, Warehousing Automation and Supply Chain Software, announced the release of a new version of ePowerHouse, the companys web-based interface to the PowerHouse WMS application suite.

Like the original version of ePowerHouse, the new version allows both PowerHouse operators and 3PL clients to view data related to their inventory, orders and receipts, in addition, it allows 3PL clients the ability to enter orders via the Internet, to be processed by the 3PL warehouse. The new version features more intuitive navigation and a cleaner appearance. It supports a more flexible security model that has been designed to reduce the total cost of administration for the web-based interface.

"While we have improved ePowerHouse aesthetically, the most sweeping changes occurred ‘under the hood," said Gabe Werczberger, the lead developer on the ePowerHouse project. "The base elements of the program have been enhanced and extended so that the entire application is dynamically generated. This greatly reduces the time and effort necessary to make customer specific changes. Reduced time and effort translates into lower costs for the customer."

Although the business focus of ePowerHouse is for use by customers of a 3PL operation. ePowerHouse can be used by members of any type of warehousing operation to provide visibility of data over the web.

ePowerHouse has been designed and tested to work with Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape 6.x and Opera 7.10 and up on the client/browser side. ePowerHouse can be served by any standard Java-enabled web server.

More information about ePowerHouse can be found on the product pages of QSSI's website.
