GSA AWARDS PILOT WEBSITE CONTRACT TO SAN DIEGO COMPANY
Pacific Design Studios of San Diego has been awarded a contract to design, develop and maintain a high-tech pilot website for the federal government's General Service Administration's (GSA) Region 9 Corporate Council. Region 9 encompasses the Pacific Rim states/territories of Arizona, California, Nevada, Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam and the Far East.
The Region 9 Corporate Council is a recently instituted joint effort by the GSA's Federal Technology Service (FTS), Federal Supply Service (FSS) and Public Building Service (PBS) to collaborate ideas, inform each other of technology efforts and to better serve their customers as a united GSA. "This group determined it needed a website to keep the council members - who meet regularly every quarter - better informed of upcoming events, presentations, newsletters and meeting minutes. Once the website is
completed, we also will be responsible for maintaining it indefinitely as the GSA's pilot program continues," said Carolyn Ferguson. She is the owner of Pacific Design Studios, located on Banker's Hill in downtown San Diego.
Since its establishment in 2002, Pacific Design Studios has performed a variety of projects in Greater San Diego for the financial, mortgage, property management, real estate, accounting and landscaping industries - and federal government agencies. Among its services are custom software development, database design, web development, Flash animation, search engine optimization, e-commerce, e-mail marketing, graphic design and computer hardware sales. "Among our clients," said Ferguson, a graduate of San Diego State University, "is Genisys. It is the largest second-mortgage company in the U.S. with headquarters in San Diego. We serve Genisys as a custom software consultant."
Pacific Design Studios also served as a minority/woman-owned website
vendor for the 2003 Super Bowl held in San Diego.
