Help! I'm fed up with my kids!

Help! I'm fed up with my kids!

New children's book offers fun reading solution.

We all hope that our kids turn out to be the nicest, most parent-loving little "men" of joy when they grow up to be 6 to 9 years old. More often than not, though, they end up acting like little whirlwinds of trouble and destruction spiced up with an unhealthy dose of ego and disrespect. You can only hope that when they reach that wonderful prepubescent age of 12 to 14 , the rebel inside will give way to a mature and forward-looking package of valedictorian material. You can only hope...

Little wonder that parents get what they get nowadays due to the small influence they end up having with their kids. We get little devils because what they see ARE little devils. Hyped up on Hollywood images of pop idol superstars or athletes getting millions and acting like pouty two year olds who get whatever they want, it's little surprise that our kids have forgotten the golden rules of humility, sacrifice and the notion of God. How can you turn your kids onto the old, boring notion of Jesus as an idol for their life?

New authors Jerry Ching and Mike Onghai may have solved a small piece of the puzzle by coming out with a simple but beautiful childrens' book called The Greatest King. Written for six to nine year olds, it is a story about a mean young Prince who is banished by his father, the King, who tells him not to return until he
has found the ?greatest? King. The journey takes the Prince to distant kingdoms and meets three great and powerful kings. They each perform amazing feats of power and magic that eventually take our young protagonist to Calvary. It is there
where he learns about Jesus ,his life and that he is ...The Greatest King!

Ably illustrated in engaging compositions of color and comic-book type action,
The Greatest King is sure to engage the wiliest of kids into it's snare and deliver the message that they don't often hear. . . that true greatness embodied by Jesus Christ lies not in power, money or fame but in humility, service and obedience to God.

Ching is a Los Angeles-based animator who has worked on such films as Mulan,
The Emperor's New Groove, Casper and Fantasia 2000. Onghai is a UCLA graduate and a magazine co-publisher in New York.

The Greatest King is available through Amazon.com and through their website,
www.thegreatestkingbook.com. Exclusive, authographed pin-up posters will be sent to Amazon buyers who purchase the book by June 15. Limited number only. Please
email your poster requests to the author at jerryching@earthlink.net along with the Amazon order number for confirmation.
