Russell Bedford International - the worldwide group of CPA firms - has continued the expansion of its North American coverage by welcoming Pohl, McNabola, Berg & Company LLP (PMB) as the new member firm in San Francisco, California.

The Russell Bedford group of CPA firms has continued the expansion of its North American coverage by welcoming a new member firm in San Francisco, California.

The new member is Pohl, McNabola, Berg & Company LLP (PMB), consultants and certified public accountants.

PMB was founded in 1986 and is located on San Francisco's waterfront. The firm offers a full range of professional accounting and auditing, tax and consulting services. The firm's clients represent a broad spectrum of industries, including professional services, marketing, high tech, healthcare, financial services and not-for-profit.

PMB is a member of the AICPA's SEC Practice Section and provides audit and tax services to several publicly traded companies.

Explaining his firm's decision to join Russell Bedford, partner Michael C. Berg commented: "Times are rapidly changing and many client companies are looking to smaller, more agile CPA firms as an alternative to the Big 4. PMB has five partners. The founding partner, Michael C. Berg, has been a practising accountant for over 20 years and currently oversees the firm's marketing department in addition to providing accounting and consulting services to his many clients. Tony Pohl has 25 years of professional experience with an emphasis on the non-profit sector and the healthcare industry. Noel McNabola has been in public accounting since 1974, and his primary expertise lies in the area of non-profit accounting and taxation. Nancy Peck, a tax professional for over 16 years, has extensive experience in corporate, partnership and individual taxation. And Sam Berde, an SEC expert, focuses on SEC compliance, merger and acquisition transactions, venture financing, and other general business matters.

All the partners have significant experience with the 'Big-Four' international accounting firms together with extensive industry experience.

In the last 12 months, new firms in Vancouver, Miami and Austin, Texas - and now the San Francisco Bay Area - have joined Russell Bedford's North American members in Washington DC, New York, Boston, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and Toronto.
