Vascular BioSciences to Present to Investors at Medtech Insights "Investment In Innovation: A Preview of Early-Stage Medical Technology Companies" Conference

CEO David Mann to speak at investor and strategic alliance conference

San Diego, Calif. - Vascular BioSciences (www.vascularbiosciences.com) announced today it will present to investors at Medtech Insights "Investment in Innovation: A Preview of Early-Stage Medical Technology Companies" conference on June 12-13 at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco. For event information, visit www.medtechinsight.com/in3-08.html.

This two-day event features emerging technologies being developed by small mostly privately held medical technology companies seeking partnering and/or investment. Up to 300 senior executives from the investment community and major medical technology, biopharmaceutical, biotech, and other companies are expected to attend.

Vascular BioSciences will present its innovative, new technology: the endoarterial biopsy catheter. The catheter safely obtains biopsy samples from the inner layers of arteries in a minimally invasive procedure. These biopsy samples can then be used to better enable the study, diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of vascular-based diseases that affect more than 2 million people in the United States alone. Diseases and medical conditions that can benefit from the catheter include pulmonary hypertension, lung cancer, pulmonary manifestations of collagen vascular diseases such as lupus and scleroderma, vasculitis, and lung transplant rejection. The endoarterial biopsy catheter also has applications in the area of drug development and patient selection for clinical trials.

"Weve completed our pre-clinical development and are ready for clinical trials," said David Mann, CEO of Vascular BioSciences. "We are excited at the opportunity to present our company to the investment community and meet with potential corporate partners at this event."

About Vascular BioSciences:

Vascular BioSciences, a privately held medical device company based in San Diego, California, has developed the endoarterial biopsy catheter to percutaneously obtain biopsy samples from the inner layers of blood vessels. The catheter will provide a means for monitoring therapeutic interventions, optimizing medical management, customizing diagnosis and therapy, and anticipating future adverse events through the early identification of disease markers in vascular biopsies from patients.

Vascular BioSciences is dedicated to developing innovative technologies to detect and treat vascular-based diseases in order to enhance and prolong human life.
