Low-Income Mothers in Need at CityTeam Ministries

Walkathon Held at Rose Tree Park – Saturday, June 7th at 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon.

Chester, PA (PRWEB) June 6, 2003 – CityTeam Ministries will sponsor an annual walkathon to raise funds for a special Family Outreach program for low-income mothers in need. The Boeing Company is sponsoring the event.The fastest growing poor and homeless population is single mothers with small children," said Donna Tente, Family Outreach Manager for CityTeam. Currently we have 700 mothers and 1,500 children in need of food, clothing, diapers, formula, furniture, car seats, cribs, blankets.CityTeam needs help from the community to make programs like this succeed. We are thankful to The Boeing Company for partnering with us so we can continue to serve these mothers and their children. Boeings investment in the Family Outreach program will also provide for a group of children from the program to attend a week of summer camp," added Tente.Boeing is committed to improving the quality of life in the community in which we operate," said Joanne Huggard, Boeing manager of Community and Education Relations.
